A simple but powerful recommended book plugin.
BookX creates an easy way to give your site visitors a peek at your recommended books. Using only ISBN numbers, it gets the
information from Barnes and Noble (http://www.bn.com) and stores the information locally to both speed up the response time, but
also to not bog down their servers with repetetive requests. BookX creates a widget for your sidebar, a list view, and detail view,
all customizable from the easy to use admin interface.

All these downloads are hosted by wordpress.org.
0.5 – the current stable release. It includes all features above and issues below.
If you would like, you can also download the development version. It may have bugs, but will include any new features and bugfixes as I work on them. I guarantee nothing in this version, it may or may not work, so please ensure you can handle some bugs or even a dead plugin if you decide to use this version.
You can also access the Subversion repository directly at http://svn.wp-plugins.org/bookx/. The releases are all in the “tags” directory, the current development release is in the “trunk” directory.
Known Issues
There are no known issues in the current stable version. If you know of any please let me know, or better yet, add a ticket to the Google Code SuiteX project.

This is a good idea…..i think even better would be the ability to change out themes based on month (for diff seasons or projects) or
even more detailed, based on date.

This is like saying you find spellchecking pointless because your letters are so often misunderstood.
Nah. Well, if I could be assured, and had a way to test it, that made sure my letter was understood, I wouldn’t bother with spell check. But since I can’t do that, here I am.
With HTML validation, my complaint is that even though a document will validate, doesn’t mean it will be rendered correctly by each browser. So I have to test each one, and sometimes break validation just to ensure the page looks right and works correctly. If HTML validation would be a way to ensure EVERY (yes, even IE) browser would render it correctly, then I would validate everything, with question or hesitation. But until then, why bother?
Where exactly does bookx store the data?
When activated, BookX creates a table where it will store all the data.

BookX is just what I have been looking for. I can’t however figure out how to add a list of books to a page. Can you help me please?
When you install it, it will create a page that it will then use to display the list. You will just need to create a link to that page and you are good to go.
